Highlights From December 2007

Here are a few glimpses of the fun times we had this December.

I rarely buy Christmas dresses for my girls, let along matching! :)
Jennie had a dress party and they were all adorable, I couldn't pass them up.

We had our family party on Sunday. After wrapping and delivering gifts to a needy family, we exchanged presents with the cousins. As families, we went in on a gift for my mom (actually it was for her Birthday next week). Liz Lemon Swindle is her favorite artist. And it happens to be that my soon-to-be sister-in-law, Kasie, works in her studio putting frames together. Liz has an amazing talent and her portraits are so life like! My brother, Bryce, typed the background info for this picture and then went on to compare it to the love that we have for our Mother and the love she has for us. We were all bawling by the time my mom finished reading it.

The portrait is called "Worth of a Soul". If you have an opportunity, read the story behind it. She has "real" pictures from her visit to Africa that she took with her Jesus model. The little boy who is pictured here, Kennedy, lost his parents to AIDS. As they were leaving he said to the Jesus Model, "Please tell my Mom and Dad Hi". Heartbreaking.

Ellie loves her cousin, Karston (Brande's little guy). She started kissing him at our party and I got this adorable picture.

We had our annual Pace Family Christmas party a couple weeks before Christmas. We get a visit from Santa every year. Ellie surprisingly didn't scream this time. :)

Caitlin is in a performance class where they dance and sing. She performed at her Christmas Recital at Layton High. She was especially excited to wear eyeshadow, lipstick, and blush. :) She did a great job and didn't act nervous at all.

Believe it or not, this picture was taken this year -- 2007! You would think you're jumping back 20 years to 1987. :) For some reason my cousins didn't pass the memo onto the rest of us, but they decided to have an ugly sweater contest for our Robinson Christmas Party. Feathered bangs, peg legged pants and all! It was hilarious! The eyes closed were on purpose -- it completed the look. :) Oh and you know what the worst part is? My cousin, Mandy, actually stopped in at Wal-Mart on her way over and picked up that white sweater. Ugh!

Our family picture on Ashlan's baptism day. It seems longer than 1 month ago that she was baptized. Boy does time fly. I was thinking the other day that in another 5 years she will be 13! I'm getting wrinkles just thinking about it.
