Busy Week!

Friday, January 25, 2008

Wow, I didn't realize how crazy this past week has been. It seems like January has been almost as busy as December -- which I was hoping that it would slow down. Here are a few highlights!

Afghanistan Orphanage Fundraiser Dinner
The major players in this great work.
Marty Horn, founder of Anysoldier.com, Shaw Karimi, Chad Everett,
Actor and Spokesman for The Gift of Life, Jared Jones & Layne Pace,
soldiers of the Utah National Guard 211th Aviation.

Us kids at the dinner on January 19th. It was a wonderful night with great food and company. We are missing Janson and Noelle in the picture because she just delivered their little baby girl 2 hours before. Pictures to follow!

My dad asked us girls to make some sort of "scrapbook" displaying the stories behind Assadulah and Halima for their Silent Auction that night. Thank You to my friend, Candice, she helped us come up with a nice way to display the stories that people would be willing to pay $$ for.
This Halima picture sold for $1000! Amazing.

Congratulations Janson and Noelle! She is the 8th Grandchild in our family (6th Granddaughter).
They named her Lacee Lynne Pace.
She weighed 7lbs. 12 oz. What a cutie!

Happy 10th Anniversary to US!!!
Yes, it's already been 10 whole years. Crazy how time flies! We had grand plans to leave the kids with family and head up to Johnson Mill in Midway on Thursday night. Until Caitlin ended up getting sick which pretty much halted any plans. Ken's parents were kind enough to take the room up there -- otherwise we would have lost $200 for canceling at the last minute.
They'll be babysitting the kids when we try to attempt to go again, so it's a little payback I guess. I figured since our plans were already thrown out the window, there would be no reason I couldn't go to book club. Yes, I feel guilty...but Ken was totally okay with me going. So I did. However, I did make up for it later. :)

Happy Birthday Ken!! It was also his birthday on Tuesday -- he turned 36!
That means it's my big 30 this year -- AGHHH!!!

Brindy,
I'm glad someone's January went by fast. We were sad your anniversary plans were a bust, but we are sure glad you made it to book club when they weren't a go.
