New LDS Play "The White Star"

Sunday, September 16, 2007

Ken and I took Ashlan to the performance of "The White Star" last night at Timpview High in Provo and it was incredible! My Great-Uncle Doug Stewart (my grandma's brother) wrote and produced it -- along with "Saturday's Warrior" years ago. He did a fantastic job! The music by Janice Kapp Perry was perfectly sung by amazing actors. Both Ken and I left with headaches -- the kind where you're trying to stop from crying too hard in public. :) He wrote it for Education Week at BYU back in August and has since performed it at Timpview High for the past few weeks. They will be moving it to a smaller theater in Springville, UT within the next month. I highly recommend it. It makes you think about your ancestors and also the effect you have on your posterity by choices you make today. Here is the website incase you are interested. http://www.whitestarmusical.com/

I'd love to see that musical someday! Thanks for the note...I am so glad to be able to keep in touch with you guys...We all miss you! And, yes I am feeling old every morning as I send my 7th grader off to school. Thank goodness for the kindergartener who keeps me young.XOXO
