My craft project for the year

Friday, May 23, 2008

I enjoy creating things. I don't have time to do a lot of crafty projects, but when I do it's fun to see the end result. We had book club last night and we threw a little baby shower for my friend Tami, who is due in 4 weeks. I wanted to do a fun (non-treat) shower favor and I found this on some baby shower site. I thought it turned out cute. They are baby washcloths rolled up to look like flowers (or lollipops).

Book club was a blast. Jana was leaving at 3 am for Disneyland so we got kicked out at 10:30. We aren't used to going home so early, so 6 of us went over to Ihop and stayed until 3:00. Most of us ordered food (even though we just had yummy dinner and dessert) -- what's the fun in going to Ihop if you aren't going to get French toast? :) It's amazing that we can always find something to talk about. I enjoy listening to everybody's different perspectives and advice, it makes you realize that you are normal! They are all such fun girls (I hate to say ladies because that makes them sound old) and we have some good laughs. It's great to get out and have an adult conversation once a month. :)
