Not much new around here...

It's been a while since I posted because there isn't much going on...which is actually amazing! This week Caitlin only had two days of school (okay, only one since she was sick on Tuesday). She has Wed-Friday off because of assessment tests. She had hers yesterday and was proud of herself that she was able to recite her address to her teacher. :) So for the next 2 days I get to hear Caitlin teasing Ellie. She has this thing where she likes to get her screaming by saying "We're going to the Zoo, want to come? Nope, sorry you can't come with me.", "We're going to school, you can't come!", "Do you want gum?" (so then Ellie whines for the next 10 minutes until she gets it -- which is what's happening now), yelling to scare her, scaring her with a big Halloween spider we have, etc. Caitlin just eggs her on and on to make her mad. I'm not a psychologist...is there a reason why she's doing this? She likes to be the big sister and pretend she knows everything. Caitlin does get satisfaction out of it when she then says to Ellie after she's been crying "Aww, give me a hug".

Next week is the last week of school...it seems like this week would never come! I have mixed feelings. I am sad that my time of being PTA President is over, but at the same time relieved that I no longer will be in charge of everybody. That I will actually have time to scrapbook and read - but most likely I'll fill my time with other busy things. The last day of school is actually on my birthday...yes, sadly I am turning the big 30! I have a feeling it's going to uneventful (sorry honey, you have to admit you're not very creative when it comes to things like this and I definitely don't plan my own parties. :) It will be fun to attend Caitlin's kindergarten program that day and to say good-bye to the 2007-2008 school year -- it's been awesome!

Caitlin cracks me up!!!! Holy cow. I was laughing. Poor Ellie. Well, now that it is summer and your kids are out of school we can hang out more...yeah right :) There is always something going on. I'm sure everyone will miss you as the PTA president, you always go above and beyond. So...good job!

Congratulations on surviving (and doing a great job from what I hear) PTA this year! I hope you have a great summer and are able to find some time to read and scrapbook. That's what I want to do to. . . I still need to hook up with you about photoshop stuff. There is so many little things I just don't get. Maybe a scrapbook-while the kidlets play day?

I am a firm believer that you have to make time for the things you want to do. I keep waiting for life to slow down and it has not happened yet. Just wait you will get done with PTA and something else will fill that time. Although, I bet it is a relief to be done with that huge job. 30 isn't so bad...Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday!!! This is the big 3-0 year for me too, but I am just going to pretend I am turning 28 or something...:) If you can figure out when to find time to scrapbook, let me know! I can't figure it out.
