A little update....

I went to both the Perinatologist and my OB yesterday. The ultrasound from the Perinatologist shows that she is growing right on schedule. I mentioned to him that I had Cholestatsis and he seemed slightly concerned. He ordered me to get 2 Stress tests a week until she is delivered. He asked if we had any birth defects that ran in our family...just because with the Single Umbilical Artery you can run into complications like that. I assured him that all 3 of my girls were regular/normal pregnancies and deliveries. I took the notes down the hall to my next appt. for my Dr. to look at. She's sitting there reading them and says "Oh...interesting. He suggests you go at 36-37 weeks." I was like "What??" We looked at the calendar and she suggested either the 16, 17, or 18th of February (5 weeks away), but she told me to go home and talk it over with Ken and we'll decide on it at another appt. This would be the same week as Ellie's b-day, but not on the same day. It all worked out that I didn't have to stress about having them born on the same day...but THANK YOU everybody for your responses and advice! It helped know that if I did have to make that decision I would try my best to let them have their own special day. :)

So unless something else alarms them and I need to go earlier than that, that is the week she will be born. For some reason I am a little obsessive with numbers. Since I have been able to pick the day all my girls were born, I've picked even days. Mine and Ken's birthday are also on even days. When I called Ken up to tell him what the Dr. recommended he said..."How about the 17th". I told him "Yeah, I don't think so. It will be the 16th or the 18th". He thinks I'm crazy :) I tried to keep Ellie's birthday as far away from Valentines Day as possible -- but I don't think I have a choice on this one. Depending on which day I pick, she'll either be 2 days after Valentines Day or 2 Days before her sisters b-day. Oh well, I'm not stressing about that at this point, I just want her to make it here healthy.

Thank you everybody for your prayers, thoughtful words, and well wishes. Even though at times I get a little worried that things might go wrong, I know that whatever happens is for a reason and I know Heavenly Father is watching out for our little family.

I'm glad things are looking good for you and the baby. The only down side to going is early is that you'll miss Feb. BC. :( I guess having a baby is a good reason to miss. :) Keep us posted.

I was diagnosed with cholestasis with Eila and had to deliver her at 36 weeks. Aside from all the stress and tests and worry before the delivery, everything went smoothly - if that makes you feel any better at all. I hope these last weeks of pregnancy go well for you and you have a smooth delivery. My thoughts are with you!

Holy moly. I have been behind on the posts! I had to read back to Christmas. Anyway, glad all is under control and I say the earlier the better and the kids only know what they know.

Might I suggest the 18th??? The coolest, happiest person I know was born on Feb 18th. ME!!! I wouldn't do the 17th. That is the day Grandpa Bud died ):
I'm funny about numbers too. (Maybe it runs in the family.) You should look into numerology if you like playing with numbers. It is pretty cool to play around with. My mom is into that sort of thing too.
Good Luck to ya!
